Objectives

  • Promote adoption of US-made AI hardware and software in partner countries
  • Reduce reliance on Chinese technology
  • Secure US leadership in the AI race

  • Competition with China

China has been building telecom networks and AI infrastructure across Africa, South America, and Europe under its 'Digital Silk Road' initiative, also deploying large language models like DeepSeek.

    Funding

In addition to federal support, corporate and charitable contributions are expected. The initiative complements the 'American AI Exports Program' established by Trump's July executive order.
